“A” in detail
We’ll spend an hour photographing every possible combination you
would like; individuals, family, groups, siblings, etc. In the studio I
like to use both natural window light and studio light.
I “shoot” without props because I like to keep it simple. You will view
your proofs via an emailed slideshow or contact sheets if you
prefer. I recommend solid clothing, preferably with long sleeves because
I like to keep the focus on the face. Unlike traditional studios, I
don’t keep the negatives and charge high prices for prints. But rather,
the final images are written to a CD that belongs to you. And
while all the images are yours to keep, up to 12 will be adjusted,
corrected, enhanced, cropped, and prepped for printing in the size (s)
you choose. You will also receive a custom Portrait Collage
created by me using some of my favorite images from your session. In
addition, you will also receive a signed “release letter” and
bonus list of websites offering innovative products. And lastly,
you will take home a *Heritage Makers photo book (8x8) which will
showcase all the images from your session. Your photo book and CD will
be mailed to your home.

I have partnered with Heritage Makers which is a premier online publishing
company that specializes in photo storybooks, posters, calendars,
digital scrap booking, and cards. There is no software you have to buy

C. What you get….how it works

minutes, studio only)
- CD of 20 to 25 negatives (without corrections)
- Signed release which gives you permission to have printing done
anywhere

FAQ
What do I need
to do first?
Decide when you’d like to have your appointment and send in a deposit to
reserve the date. Appointments are scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday. Deposits may be mailed in or you can call and leave a credit
card number over the phone.
How much is the
deposit?
The deposit on “A” is $100 with the balance ($275) due on the day of the
appointment. The deposit on “B” is $50 with a payment of $50 due on the
day of the appointment. The exact balance on “B” depends upon the final
canvas size chosen. The deposit on “C” is $50 with the balance ($125)
due on the day of the appointment.
Then what
happens?
If you’re getting “A”: Within a week or so (usually sooner) you
will receive an emailed slide show of the session for your review.
Choose 12 that you would like to have adjusted (meaning-retouched, color
corrected, enhanced, cropped to size and ready for printing).
If you’re getting “B”: Within a week or so (usually sooner) you
will receive an emailed slide show of the session for your review.
Choose which image (or images if you’re getting a portrait collage) you
would like for your canvas.
If you’re getting “C”: You do not have to do anything. Your CD
will be mailed to your home.
What if I’m not
happy?
If you decide, for instance, that you don’t like the way your hair looks
or you don’t like someone’s expression, then I would be happy to do a
quick re-shoot for $25.
Additional Services
Photo
Editing
- Additional retouched images may be purchased for $25 each.
- Head Swap - A head swap is when we move a head from one photo to
another. Often this comes up in family groups when one person in the
family has his eyes closed or has an expression that’s not the best.
Though one head swap is included in the “A package” we reserve the right
to charge for our time spent on additional head swaps or other
significant retouching/artwork ($75/hour).
- Photo editing
services include scans, color correction, image transfer to CD or DVD,
simple restoration and image manipulation. Some projects and services
are billed by the hour and some are billed by the project. Consider
preserving your treasured family pictures.
Special
Projects
- I create digital artwork from your own digital photos. If you own a
digital camera, (and these days…who doesn’t) my guess is that you
probably have a computer that’s “chock full” of images ….and yet you
have no “real” pictures to show for it?????? Let a professional help you
sift through the tons of images you have stored on your camera, computer
hard drive, or CD. I have some great ideas that utilize your pictures in
fun ways! Ask about Heirloom Collages, Pop Art, Photo Paint Cans, and
other custom projects such as special event posters.
- The project I design uniquely for
you can be printed on canvas, poster board, card stock, or you may
purchase it digitally on a CD.
- Some projects
and services are billed by the hour and some are billed by the project.
Workshops
- I offer consulting services and conduct individual and group training
workshops demonstrating how you can make beautiful personalized items
using your own pictures. Prices range from $20 to $50 an hour.
